Looking snazzy!!

Heeellllllloooo blog friends! It has been super busy around here so I am going to keep this short and sweet. The sheet rock guys finished on Monday and the cabinets are going to be installed this week. Please forgive me because I forgot to take pics after they finished the sheet rock, but these are pretty up-to-date. We were happy with the sheet rockers, but they sprayed mud all over the wooden walls that we are planning to paint. Not a huge deal, but a bit of an inconvenience. When I took these pictures they hadn't sprayed yet so you can't see it. Enjoy this pics, I will back with updates soon!
Kitchen, kinda

Half way done with the living room
The day we bought the house

Before sheet rock. Notice the sway where the wall and ceiling meet, thats not an illusion LOL
After sheet rock. To straighten the wall Cody used a beam and a jack to lift the ceiling, then cut out the rotted wood and replaced it with new pieces. It turned out much better.

Its beginning to look like a real house!

YAYYY! The exterior paint is done! I was so happy with how it turned out. We worked really hard today to get everything ready for the sheet rock guys tomorrow. I'd like to shout-out to all the helpers today: my lovely mom, Anita Peek, the most amazing brother ever, Cody Peek, and his awesome in-laws, Teara and Craig Lindholm. I don't know what we would have done without y'all!

Also, I want to give a shout-out to my readers. I've had a lot of people tell me they've been following and it made feel so cool. Maybe I should have started blogging a long time ago, then I'd be like uber cool with a bunch of blogger friends. So, I just wanted to say thanks guys for boosting my blogging ego!

PAINT!! Whoo whoo

Hey blog friends! Here is a quick update: My sister-in-law and I went to Lonestar paint on Texas Blvd. today to pick colors from their Benjamin Moore color wall. Thank goodness Natalie (yes, my sister-in-law's name is Natalie Peek too lol) went with me because I would have been lost without her expertise. We're actually not using Benjamin Moore paint, but supposedly they have the best colors (like I know). We are going to take the colors to Home Depot for them to match the colors (they're cheaper).

Exterior Main Color: Berkshire Beige

Exterior Trim: Sail Cloth (not showing up on Benjamin Moore web site for some reason :0(

This is where I got the idea for exterior paint.

Interior Trim: Glacier White

Interior Wood Walls: Smoke Gray (The back wall in the pic)

Interior Main Walls: Revere Pewter

This is the inspiration for interior paints. Cody and Natalie visited this house in Georgia during the Masters. It is featured in the Serenbe community. Check out this really cool place at serenbe.com. Click here for a direct link to this house
