Hey there! I am just going to jump right in to telling the latest progress. The painters have been here all this past week taking care of the inside. They caulked, sanded, and primed before painting. Once again, they did a nice job. My two wonderful parents helped me prepare the wood walls for painting. We puttied every hole with Durham's hard-as-rock putty. We got it from Home Depot in the paint section. It comes as a powder that you add water to. After making a paste, we spread it over the walls and wiped away the excess with damp cloths. Then we went back and did a quick sanding job over the rough spots. After all the hard work, I'd say it was worth it. I really like how they turned out. The floor guys started today! I can't wait to see how they turn out! The same people that are doing the floors are doing the tile as well. Cody and I picked out the tile from Home Depot today. Everything is going to be done in white ceramic tile, pics coming soon.
In the next few weeks the major things that will be done are: refinishing floors, air conditioner installation (MUCH NEEDED!), install plumbing fixtures, finished electrical, and a list of small things. My dad has made some really good deals this week on a few items that I am excited about. He found a sink/vanity for the master bath that will fit perfectly and three FREE ceiling fans; he is the best! But really, none of this would be possible without him. Thanks Dad.

Wood wall covered with primer and holes from pulling the nails. |

Durham's Putty mix. It takes one part water to three parts power to mix. And it gets hard really fast, so work quick! |

Wipe away the excess so you don't have to sand as much. You want to make sure it is as smooth as possible. |

This is a lot smoother than it looks in the pic. |

Dark Grey in the dining room. It turned out a little more blue than what I thought it would be, but I still like it. |

Cody had the idea to add trim in the corners of the wood walls to cover up the rough spots, it turned out really nice. |
